Designing for the Coast

Swim Between the Flags is a garden created for the RNLI at RHS Sandringham 2026. Inspired by the British coastline and the RNLI’s preventative lifeguarding work, the garden explores movement, resilience and our connection to the sea. Woven dune forms, coastal planting and natural materials come together to create an immersive landscape shaped by wind, water and shifting ground. More than a show garden, it is a space designed to encourage pause, reflection and a deeper appreciation for the landscapes and communities that surround our coastline.
